Knights lacrosse's Trout earns MVP honors in OCBLL
LOUISVILLE, Ky. Bellarmine University rising sophomorewas recently named the MVP of the Ohio Collegiate Box Lacrosse League.Trout made history by becoming the OCBLL's first MVP in the Columbus- and Cleveland-based league's inaugural season. A forward for the Aviators, Trout led both his league and country in goals (41) and points (55) by a wide margin, according to the US Box Lacrosse Association website.The Columbus, Ohio, native reportedly finished within a whisker of all-time National Collegiate Box Series single-season scoring leader Casey Rose, who tallied 42 goals and 57 points last season.As a freshman at Bellarmine, Trout posted 12 goals and four assists.
