What Kyrie Irving had to say about his season-ending knee infection
You try consistently to learn, grow, and prepare everyday to equip your mind, body, and spirit with tools to deal with some of those things, but I feel when those moments arise they all give you a sense of unfulfillment, simply because it puts some of your professional journey and goals on a brief hold. In this case, finding out I have an infection in my knee is definitely a moment that I now accept and move past without holding on to the all the what ifs, proving the nay-Sayers completely f***ing wrong, and accomplishing the goals I’ve set out for the team and myself.

Josh Norman on Malcolm Butler's Super Bowl benching: 'Who is Eric Rowe?'
Josh Norman was more than willing to sound off on the Patriots’ decision to bench fellow cornerback Malcolm Butler in Super Bowl LII. “Who is Eric Rowe?” asked the 30-year-old Washington cornerback during a segment on FS1’s “Undisputed.” The line was meant as a genuine question, Norman acknowledged.

The Patriots added “Hercules” to their depth chart on Wednesday, agreeing to terms with Troy Niklas, a 6-foot-6, 270 pound tight end who earned that nickname in the Notre Dame weight room. At a pep rally before Notre Dame took on Michigan, according to the student newspaper, “Hercules ripped his shirt off, then began to philosophize in the ancient Greek tradition, providing wisdom like, ‘We are all organisms, fighting and striving to endure,’ and ‘You’ve got to love the pain!

Here's the latest update on the NBA playoff seedings
Miami, playing while Goran Dragic, James Johnson and Dwyane Wade all were held out, rolled to an easy win at Atlanta — and moved past Washington for outright control of the No. Golden State at Indiana: Big for the Warriors in their quest to finish with the NBA’s second-best record (which would assure home-court advantage if they were to make the NBA Finals).

The Rays are utilizing their bullpen in place of a No. 4 starter
Rejecting baseball tradition, the Rays plan to regularly use relievers on short notice to combine for a turn in their starting rotation. In an era when an increasing number of managers and pitching coaches are reluctant to let young starters face the batting order for a third time in a game, the Rays’ plan will be analyzed.
