Zack Martin leaves Cowboys game with knee injury
It's fair to wonder if the same strategy should have been used with Zack Martin, the All-Pro right guard who left minutes into the second quarter with a knee injury following a second-down run by Rod Smith. Lodged inside a gritty front five with Mr. Everything left tackle Tyron Smith and Pro Bowl center Travis Frederick, Martin looms as one of the NFL's most valuable in-the-trenches talents.

Cardinals rookie Christian Kirk draws comparison to Odell Beckham Jr.
Pughs one-on-one effort and that of the rest of the Cardinals offensive line gave Rosen an extra couple of seconds to survey things from the pocket before he zeroed in on Kirk. The former Texas A&M star got a chance to shine with the first-team offense against the Saints and he caught passes from both starter Sam Bradford and Rosen, impressing both quarterbacks, never mind their right guard.

Luck and RGIII: Two top picks, each on the comeback trail
Both met on the practice field Friday in Westfield, two 28-year-old quarterbacks on the comeback trail, fresh off a year away from the game, forever connected by the Heisman Trophy they once chased, the draft debate that ensued, and the hopes they carried with every flick of the wrist or scramble from the pocket. From Texas high school standouts to Heisman trophy finalists to the top two picks in the draft, to here, in Westfield, Ind., at the close of a training camp neither has taken for granted, theyll always remain linked.
